Professional Services Manager

About the Role
- Own performance of the Project and Security teams, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets.
- Architect client solutions and drive process improvements across delivery.
- Resolve intra-departmental issues and escalate inter-departmental issues with team leads.

Security Leadership and Strategic Oversight
- Oversee delivery of security services and products such as Endpoint Protection, EDR, MDR, PAM, SIEM, Password Management, Vulnerability Management, Security Awareness Training, Network Security, and compliance or audit efforts such as HIPAA, PCI, and CIS.
- Develop and execute a security services roadmap aligned to client needs and industry trends.
- Lead, mentor, and manage security team members and act as primary escalation for complex incidents and client concerns.
- Create internal training and communication strategies for new security solutions and rollouts.
- Conduct periodic security assessments and present findings with recommendations through the account management team.
- Provide final decision-making within the security team.
Project Leadership and Strategic Oversight
- Lead cross-functional engineers to deliver IT projects on time and within budget.
- Establish and refine delivery standards, kickoff to closeout workflows, and support handoffs.
- Monitor project health, resolve escalations, and maintain high customer satisfaction via structured reviews.
- Drive accountability through regular business reviews and team coaching.
- Lead solution architecture and project scoping that align to company values.
- Provide final decision-making within the project team.
Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate and manage security tools and vendors such as EDR, MDR, firewalls, and cloud security platforms, and recommend changes to leadership.
- Drive automation and process improvements across security operations workflows.
- Stay current on threats and technologies to improve service offerings.
- Create and refine security policies, procedures, and SOPs for Professional Services teams.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for internal teams and client environments.
- Maintain documentation for client environments related to security products.
- Coordinate incident response efforts and post-incident reviews with clients and support.
Qualifications
- Lead by example with clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and recommend solutions.
- Expertise with Microsoft 365 Entra security features, licensing, and configuration; understanding of Azure security.
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewall configuration, and DNS security including email protections such as DKIM and DMARC.
- Understanding of VPN technologies for secure remote access and awareness of VoIP security risks.
- Strong grasp of identity and access management and common security tools and concepts such as PAM, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, MDR, SOC, CVE, and IdP.
- Minimum of one technical certification earned per calendar year. Additional certifications earn bonuses.
